Sonic Speed Simulator on now.gg - How to Unlock All the Characters in This Game

Unlock all the characters in Sonic Speed Simulator by picking up their cards. Discover the location of the characters in this guide!

Sonic Speed Simulator is one of the Roblox experiences with the most things to do and see, and that you can enjoy by yourself, without the need for waiting for lobbies to fill, other players to connect, or without having to interact with anyone else. In other words, it’s the perfect Roblox experience for whenever you want to shut off your brain and just partake of the incredible speed that this game can provide.

We’ve spoken at length about the basic mechanics of this game, as well as how to start your adventure on the right track with the best Sonic Speed Simulator tips and tricks, in another guide. This time, however, we wanted to talk about something that’s not as consequential to the actual gameplay itself, but that is still quite cool to have. Specifically, we’re going to show you how to unlock all the different main characters in Sonic Speed Simulator, so that you can play either as Sonic, Tails, or Knuckles, for when you get bored of playing as your own Roblox avatar.

Unlocking New Characters in Sonic Speed Simulator

As we mentioned on another occasion, the main way to unlock new characters in this game is by picking up their character cards, which are often hidden away across many of the game’s levels. These cards look just as you’d expect, simple ID cards with the character’s picture printed on them. Once you pick them up, you’ll be able to select the corresponding character in the characters menu, and subsequently, play as them for as long as you like.

Keep in mind that the different characters in Sonic Speed Simulator are merely just cosmetic changes and don’t actually alter anything in the general gameplay. But with that being said, here is the list of locations where you can find the character cards for the main three characters:

Sonic the Hedgehog

Our favorite chili dog-eating hedgehog is actually the first character that you can unlock in Sonic Speed Simulator, as his character card is hidden in Green Valley. Well, “hidden in plain sight” might be more befitting here, considering that it’s not difficult to find at all.

Sonic’s card is located atop a rail floating in the air near the area spawn point. To reach it, you must turn right directly after leaving the spawn, where you’ll find a big loop. To the right of this loop will be a ledge with a bounce pad on it. By bouncing on this pad, you’ll be launched to the rail, which you can grind on if you land correctly on it. You can get Sonic’s card by grinding far enough along this rail, though you’ll need to land correctly and have enough speed to reach it.

Miles “Tails” Prower

To unlock Sonic’s most loyal and trusted companion, you’ll need to travel to the Lost Valley zone, which is the second area in the game.

Tails’ card is located near the very first loop in this zone, which is a sandy circle that you can run across. After crossing this loop, you can jump to a wooden platform, where you’ll pick up the card and permanently unlock this character.

Knuckles the Echidna

Sonic’s sometimes-ally-sometimes-rival treasure hunter, Knuckles the Echidna, is also a playable character in Sonic Speed Simulator, and his card can be found in the Emerald Hills zone.

In this area, try to look for a swirly tube that connects various hills in the stage. You’ll need to do a bit of platforming to actually reach the hills, which you can do by using the bounce pads on the far end of the area. Once on top, carefully run through the swirly paths to cross to other hills. Knuckles’ card is on top of one of these hills.

And that’s it for the three main characters. However, there are a few other characters that you can unlock, which are basically just the same units, but with different skins. And while we haven’t actually unlocked all of them ourselves, we can show you how to acquire them.

Sonic “Riders” Variant

In Sonic Speed Simulator, you can unlock a Sonic skin where he’s wearing the outfit featured in Sonic Riders, the 2006 racing game for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, Gamecube, and PC platforms.

To acquire this skin, simply open the in-game shop, and go to the “Redeem Codes” option. Type the word “RIDERS” into the field, and boom, you’ve unlocked a brand new skin for your collection in just a few seconds.

Sailor Tails

The last skin you can actually unlock regularly is the sailor outfit for Tails, which was introduced fairly recently with the “Scavenger Hunt” event.

To unlock this skin, you simply need to participate in the Scavenger Hunts that randomly spawn every so often. You’ll know when one of these is currently active by looking at the chat log on the top left. When the hunt notification pops up, all you need to do is travel to the indicated zone and pick up enough fragments until you unlock the skin. You’ll need to collect 100 fragments, which might take you several tries, depending on your skill.

Treasure Hunter Knuckles and Amy Rose

Despite these being all the skins that you can unlock through playing the main game, there is still another character that you can unlock, along with a skin for Knuckles. The former is Amy Rose, Sonic’s girlfriend, which you could unlock by participating in the “Save Amy” event from a few weeks ago. This event doesn’t seem to be active anymore, so we guess you’ll need to wait until it comes back in order to unlock this character. Meanwhile, the latter corresponds to Knuckles’ treasure hunter outfit, which is unlocked by completing all the tasks given to you in the Treasure Hunt event, which you can access by walking up to Knuckles in the Green Valley hub.

And that’s it for our guide on how to unlock every character in Sonic Speed Simulator. We hope you can use the info we’ve shared here to build up your collection, and obtain every character in the game.
