How to Start and Progress in the Sonic Speed Simulator Roblox Creation on now.gg
Let’s check out how to start and progress in the Sonic Speed Simulator Roblox experience online on now.gg. Blaze through maps and quickly level up your character with these tips and tricks.
When it comes to the variety of creations that you can find on Roblox, most of these are made by independent creators, or very small teams, in their free time. And while the resulting games can be of varying quality, regardless of their budget, most of them can be quite rough around the edges, with some visual and gameplay glitches. Nevertheless, they overall give us a nice gaming experience, which is why Roblox is widely regarded as one of the most popular platforms in modern gaming—there’s simply tons of content to enjoy.
However, once in a while, we can find Roblox creations with a much higher budget, such as Sonic Speed Simulator, the officially licensed game based on the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, and developed with the approval of the folks at Sega. Correspondingly, this creation not only features beloved characters from this franchise, but it also has tons of production values, with expansive maps, great performance, awesome graphics, and lots of things to do. Especially if you’re playing Roblox online on now.gg, you can get the absolute best experience with Sonic Speed Simulator, regardless of your device specifications, with a single click, and without having to download or install a single file.
Despite its high production values, however, under Sonic Speed Simulator’s confusing surface lies a relatively simple and straightforward, yet quite enjoyable game. And if you want to start and progress on the right track, and build up your speed to rival that of our favorite blue hedgehog, then you’ll definitely want to keep this Sonic Speed Simulator beginner information, as well as these tips and tricks, in mind:
Getting Started in Sonic Speed Simulator
Like with most other Roblox creations out there, your adventure in Sonic Speed Simulator starts when you immediately get dropped into the very first zone of the game and are left to find your own bearings. And if you’re a follower of the Sonic franchise, you’ll notice that this first zone is inspired by Green Valley, which is usually the very first world in several of the games.
The basic objective in Sonic Speed Simulator, as the game’s name implies, is to improve your speed and jump height, and eventually become as agile as Sonic himself. Regrettably, you start out very, very slow—heck, we’re sure we could outrun our character in a foot race when they’re at their base level, and that’s saying a lot! Luckily, to start improving your speed and power, all you need to do is level up, which is done by collecting enough XP.
There are several ways of obtaining XP in this game:
- The first is simply by moving around. Every step you take grants you a minimal amount of XP.
- By collecting the crystals present along the paths of the stages, you’ll gain lots of XP. The amount of XP you obtain will vary depending on the color of the crystals.
- By jumping through the large hoops hovering high in the air in the stages, you’ll gain lots of XP, though you’ll first have to level up to be able to jump high enough.
You can reach the level cap of 50 in a few hours, after which you can rebirth your character, which resets their level back to 1, but increases their level cap, while also granting you tons of rings (the game’s main currency), and a permanent XP multiplier. This cycle of leveling and rebirthing is the main bread and butter in Sonic Speed Simulator.
Rings and Chaos
In Sonic Speed Simulator, you’ll spend most of your time exploring the vast maps and collecting rings, both in order to level up, as well as to challenge yourself. However, the more you level up, the harder it’ll be to continue increasing your speed and power. And even with the rebirth multiplier, you might find yourself overly struggling to increase your level. Luckily, by purchasing and equipping your own Chao creatures, you can increase the XP you get from picking up orbs.
You can acquire new Chaos from the vending machines spread across each level, which function essentially as a gacha system in which you pay a number of rings in order to get a random prize. You can always check the prizes available in each vending machine simply by walking up to them, so you always somewhat know what you’re going to get. Moreover, the item availability varies from machine to machine, with some of the rarer ones being restricted to the vending stations that are hidden in the nooks and crannies of the stages.
One last thing worth pointing out here is that, just like your Chaos, you can also acquire special “trails” through these vending machines which, when equipped, also boost your XP gain. In this sense, not only do these accessories look cool, but they can significantly enhance your progression in Sonic Speed Simulator.
Make sure to visit these vending machines as soon as you have collected enough rings for a roll or two; you have nothing to lose and a lot to gain!
Farming Rings
While you can find lots of rings by running across the levels and picking them up manually, just like with your XP, you can score numerous bonus rings through the multiple obby challenges that you can find throughout the stages. The entrances to these challenges look like large portal rings, and though you can enter them simply by walking through these rings, you’ll need to first meet a minimum level requirement before you can access some of these.
By completing these obby challenges, you’ll gain a ton of rings, though you can only claim these bonus rewards once every few hours. Coming back and completing these every so often will be one of your main sources of rings, aside from collecting them from the stages.
Unlocking Different Characters
If you’ve been playing for a while, you’ll probably have seen other players running around as Tails, Amy, Knuckles, or even Sonic himself. These are all unlockable characters that you can obtain by completing certain challenges in the game. Specifically, to unlock new characters in Sonic Speed Simulator, you simply need to pick up the characters’ respective cards, which are often hidden away in the levels.
Some of these items are actually hidden and you’ll have to find them, while others are located in a place that requires you to complete some sort of challenge, often requiring you to reach a minimum level in order to actually reach the cards. And while we’ll leave you to discover the others for yourself, we can give you a hint on where to find the Sonic card to unlock the speedy hedgehog: In the first stage, Green Valley, if you look to the right as soon as you leave the starting hub, you’ll see a huge loop. To the right of this loop, you’ll see a ledge with a bounce pad. Once you’re able to jump high enough to reach the pad, use it to bounce to a high rail that you can grind on. The Sonic card is located on this rail, and you’ll need to grind on it to reach it.
Unlocking Additional Stages
While the Green Valley stage will offer basically everything that you could ever ask for in Sonic Speed Simulator, considering that the goal is to level up and rebirth as much as possible, you might feel that you want a change in scenery every once in a while, especially since each stage is home to its own unique vending machines, obby challenges, and layouts. In this sense, some of these might even give you better results than Green Valley when it comes to actually leveling up. Luckily, this Roblox game has five different stages to unlock and explore, with the keyword here being “unlock”.
To unlock new stages in Sonic Speed Simulator, you simply need to explore the current stage and find the gigantic obby portal with the next stage’s name. By entering this portal, you’ll be taken to a unique obby challenge that, upon completion, will grant you access to the next level. It goes without mentioning that some of these obby trials can be a bit tough, so you might want to level up a bit before taking them on.
Tips for Leveling Up Quick
We wanted to round out this article and close it by giving a few quick tips on how to maximize your XP gain. And though these might be quite obvious after playing the game for some time, it might come in handy to know them as a newcomer. With that being said, if you want to level up quick, here are a few pointers:
- Your first cycle is going to be the slowest: You won’t have any Chaos nor trails, and you’ll be stuck leveling up at the base pace. However, this will quickly change when you hit level 35 and are able to complete the first few obby challenges in Green Valley, which will give you enough rings to roll for your first Chao in the hub vending machine. With your pets and trails equipped, you’ll see a notable increase in your XP gain.
- Take your rebirths as soon as they become available, as these are the only ways to continue enhancing your character far past their initial limits. While it can be disheartening to lose all your speed after resetting to level 1, this annoyance is offset by the fact that you’ll be leveling up lightning-fast, thanks to the multiplier you get from every rebirth.
- Speaking of rebirth, you also get tons of rings to spend every time you rebirth. Make sure to use these to roll for a few new Chaos, as well as to score some awesome trails.
- Loops are your friends! Though you won’t be able to run through them early on, these will become one of your largest sources of XP after a while, since they always have tight formations of crystals across their lengths, giving you tons of experience once you can run fast enough to cross them.
- You need to be around level 40-ish to be able to run through every single loop in Green Valley. Once you reach this milestone, your XP gain will essentially be maxed out as you can just run laps across the stage picking up every single crystal.
- Another way to get a nice XP boost is by leaping through the hoops that you’ll find in many parts of the stages, some of which are trickier to reach than others. These hoops grant you a significant amount of experience every time you jump through them, and the best part is that you can do it as many times as you want since they’re simply on a cooldown. Remember to add some of these hoops to your usual laps and you’ll be leveling up in no time!
Sonic Speed Simulator lives up to its name by being a game that lets you go F A S T! You can go so fast that, most of the time, you’ll outrun the graphics engine and will be crossing through areas that haven’t even loaded entirely. In fact, if you’re not running through unrendered areas that constantly pop into existence far after you’ve passed them, you’re probably doing something wrong.
With the tips and tricks we’ve shared in this guide, you now have all the tools you’ll ever need to level up quickly and go fast!
